Fees
The course fee is £250 for consultants and trainees and £200 for midwives. The fee covers teaching, practical workshop materials, refreshments and a packed lunch on the day.
When your place is confirmed
Submitting an application does not reserve a place. The course team will contact you with payment instructions, and your place is confirmed once the fee has been received. Places are limited to 18 per course and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Yorkshire and Humber Deanery trainees who book through MaxCourse should also follow the MaxCourse booking terms.
If you cancel
Please tell the course administrator in writing (robert.rumsey@nhs.net) as soon as you know you cannot attend.
- More than 28 days before the course: full refund.
- 14 to 28 days before the course: 50% refund.
- Fewer than 14 days before the course, or if you do not attend: no refund.
Substitutions and transfers
You may send a colleague in your place at no charge if you tell us before the course. If your colleague is in a different fee category, the difference is payable or refundable. You may transfer to a later course date once, subject to availability, if you ask at least 14 days before the course.
If we cancel or change the course
If the course is cancelled or postponed, for example because of insufficient numbers, faculty illness or hospital operational pressures, we will tell you as early as possible and offer a full refund or a place on a later date. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs you have already paid, so please book refundable travel where possible. We may change the programme or faculty where necessary; the overall content and learning objectives will remain the same.
Certificate
There is no course assessment. A certificate of attendance is issued at the end of the course to participants who attend the complete programme, including the practical workshops. No refund is due if you leave early.
